discoveries. Often, a good journal entry will provide the most accurate record of a new find. Below are links to the journals of several of the museum’s employees. Feel free to click on their journals and explore with them. It’s the best way to see what they are up to.
Dusty Cavendish
As the Director of Acquisitions, Dr. Monkelburt “Dusty” Cavendish travels the world in search of new items to add to the museum’s collections. Dusty records the details of both his field expeditions and the research that goes into planning them into his journal.
Dusty’s journal is a great source to record the process of finding the museum’s newest collections.
Captain Clarence MacDonald
Captain MacDonald was the museum’s chief benefactor. In addition to buying many of the manuscripts and objects which formed the museum’s collections. Captain MacDonald also donated most of his log books detailing his voyages around the world and the journals where he recorded the discovery or purchase of those items.
These logs and journals have not yet been made available to the public, but when they are, they will be a valuable source for many researchers.
